MISS EDMOND LIBERTYFEST SEEKS CONTESTANTS

The Miss Edmond LibertyFest scholarship pageant will be held on June 28, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in Constitution Hall on the University of Central Oklahoma campus.  The pageant will sponsor both a Miss representative to Miss Oklahoma and a Teen representative to Miss Oklahoma's Outstanding Teen.  Both of the state competitions will be held in June of 2009.



Miss Competition
Miss Edmond & Miss LibertyFest Scholarship Pageant

Candidates eligible to compete in the Miss Edmond LibertyFest must be at least 17 years of age and have completed their junior year of high school as of June 28, 2008 and can be no older than 23 years of age as of December 31, 2008.  The contestants will compete in interview (25%), on-stage question (5%), talent (35%), physical fitness (15%) and evening wear (20%).  The winner of the Miss competition will receive a $3,000 cash scholarship to be used towards her education as well as a choice of a tuition waiver scholarship from the fourteen universities which have donated so far.  Included in the prize package is a year¹s membership and training with Brian Attebery of Results Fitness and Nutrition.  


Teen Competition

The teen competition is for young women between the ages of 13 as of June 28, 2008 through 16 years of August 31, 2008. The Teen's will compete in interview (35%), talent (35%), evening wear (15%),  active wear (10%) and on-stage question (5%).  The winner of the Teen division will receive a $500 cash scholarship to be used towards her education.  

Individuals interested in participating in the pageant can receive information by e-mail at misslibertyfest@aol.com.  This event is one of eleven events held during Edmond's weeklong LibertyFest celebration.

Little Sister Program
In addition to contestants, the pageant is seeking girls between the ages of 6 through 11 to become involved by being a part of the little sister program. Each young lady will be assigned to a contestant that will serve as her role model. They will be featured in a pageant production number. Individuals interested in participating in the pageant can receive information by e-mail at misslibertyfest@aol.com. This event is one of eleven events held during Edmond's week long LibertyFest celebration.
